Another area rich in wild life in Miami, FL with more than 1,000 animals and 500 species of plants is Parrot Jungle Island. Several times a day there are Wild Encounters Shows with tigers and orangutans. Reptile Giants Shows feature a 100-pound alligator, snapping turtle, and poisonous snakes. There are also the Tiger Enclosure Exhibit, Flamingo Lake Exhibit, the Everglades Habitat Exhibit, and the Manu Exhibit. All of these offer exotic animals pertaining to their habitat. Parrot Jungle Island originated in 1936 after a native of New York saw a place where birds could fly free, and animals could live out their lives in comfort.
